AVA Annual Conference 2020

10 - 15 May 2020

Gold Coast

** AVA Annual Conference – Gold Coast 10-15 May 2020 – Cancelled, but with a “Virtual Conference” in development **

"Following recent announcements by Australian government authorities including a ban on large gatherings, the AVA Board has decided to cancel the AVA National Conference this year. I am sure you can imagine the enormous amount of work already been undertaken by our dedicated line-up of speakers, supporters and exhibitors in preparation for the conference.

With this in mind, it is our aim to produce a “Virtual Conference”, that will be available online and leverage this effort. This revised conference will attract Vet Ed points." - Corey Snell, CEO

2020 EDPA Continuing Education, Certification Testing and Annual Meeting

22 - 25 October, 2020

Hilton Garden Inn Houston, Katy TX, USA

The EDPA offers continuing education (CE) for veterinarians, vet techs, and equine dental providers. The CE program is developed by the EDPA Certification Committee.

All licensed Equine Dental Providers must accrue annual CE hours in order to maintain their licensure. The CE program must be approved by the State Veterinary Board. Most State Boards also accept USDA module courses as well as any RACE (American Association of Veterinary State Boards, Registry of Approved Continuing Education) approved programs.

The EDPA applies for State and RACE approvals for all CE programs. Approved programs require specific detailed and relevant topics, professional and qualified speakers, specified presentation times as well as attendance hours and record keeping of all participants and certificates of completion. The EDPA CE programs all meet these standards and requirements.

The EDPA CE programs usually offer between 12-20 hours of CE in a 2-3 day period. These hours will include wet labs, demonstrations, modules, presentations, and lectures. At times, these programs may be held at an equine hospital or farm for an optimal learning experience.
